Beatriz qualified as a Senior Industrial Engineer from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI) in 2002. She holds a PMD (Programme for Management Development) from the IESE Business School, Universidad de Navarra 2012. She works in the following languages: Spanish, English and German.

She boasts over 17 years’ experience in a wide variety of sectors, during 14 of which she held management positions; the sectors include:

• Industrial installations. Analysis of technologies, process design and installation management.
• Infrastructures and waste and water treatment and management services. MBT, waste to energy, water and urban services.
• Renewable energies. Photovoltaic, wind, biomass.
• Energy efficiency and sustainable infrastructure solutions, innovation and technology.

Professional background

At present, she is a partner at Investment Project & Management, working as:

• Project manager, providing technical and economic structuring for major industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Interim manager, assisting companies with technological solutions and processes, and in their operating and business development activities, as well as in the analysis of investment opportunities and companies looking for investor partners, majority or minority, industrial or financial, etc.

She also collaborates as senior director with a boutique Spanish investment bank and is a surveyor and technician at the International Transport Measurement and Arbitration Institute (IIMAT).

She has spent her career as an executive in listed companies such as Acciona and major groups like Grupo Daorje, via investment fund 3i.

In performing her activity, she has acquired international experience in several European countries (Spain, France, Germany, Austria, UK), USA, Asia (Vietnam, India, Iran, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Saudi Arabia) and LATAM, where her main functions and responsibilities were:

• Designing new applications and processes.
  – With technological solutions that improve or represent a differential and strategic value for companies’ industrial and services businesses.
• Identifying, analysing and selecting the most suitable technologies to form part of new solutions.
  – Validating their technical and economic viability.
• Providing technical and economic structuring, processing, negotiating, directing and implementing major projects.
• Advising on strategic processes and operations.
• Supervising and managing corporate growth objectives, collaborating on implementation.
• Detecting, analysing and selecting new business opportunities.
  – Planning and preparing presentations, drawing up the Business Plan (SWOT analysis, business forecasts, etc.)
• Performing technical due diligence for new projects and business opportunities.
• Analysis and reporting (pipeline, proposals for potential clients and investors, info-memos, etc.)
• Brokering investment processes and/or business development.
• Leading, supervising and motivating the team of persons involved in each area in order to promote the development of the company.
• Studying and assisting in the negotiation of strategic alliances for the development of the company, new contracts and projects.
• Supervising the documentation on contracts, legal and administrative proceedings from a technical and business standpoint.
